Rush: Intro (p18-28)

It's interesting to read about early film editing that captures continuity of the story with planned transitions. This is something that we mostly take for granted as we grow up watching TV and films. I think we really notice when it is not done well or at all, or is done to intentionally make us uncomfortable. David Lynch's work, such as Twin Peaks, or even more so Lost Highway, uses shooting and editing techniques to put us ill-at-ease.
